Dick Millard has done many design commissions, as well as replication / restoration flesh painting projects. He has provided consultation and specifications for Repair, and Restoration as the first chairman of the SGAA Repair and Restoration Committee from 1976 - 1984. For seven years he wrote a monthly column called “On Stained Glass” for Glass Digest. He has written a myriad of articles for Stained Glass Magazines and was the Interim Editor of Stained Glass Journal from 1984 -1986. The diversity of Millard’s work can be seen on magazine covers on which his work has appeared. He is the Author of the book Stained Glass Painting, Isenberg and Millard, 1979. From September 1981 - August 1983 he published and illustrated a monthly newsletter called "Guiidelines", which later established the nucleus for the SGAA Reference & Technical Manual to which he has been the major contributor. He has been the subject of magazine articles, radio and television interviews and the first teaching video, "Introducing Stained Glass Painting".
Since 1994 he has been teaching Stained Glass with an emphasis on traditional stained glass painting and design skills. He is also the founder and a frequent contributor to the Stained Glass Forum, an internet discussion board where stained glass professionals from around the world exchange views and information.
